Last updated: April 2026
Introduction and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data are processed when you use the UCare E-Learning Platform (the Platform) and related learning content, operated as part of the UCare project (BSB0082). It applies to visitors and, where applicable, to users of interactive features such as modules or quizzes.
Data controller
The data controller is the Regional Centre for Sustainable Development (“CRDD”), Republic of Moldova. For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact: crdd_ungheni@yahoo.com.
Categories of personal data
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may process: (a) technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, date and time of access, and pages viewed; (b) communication data if you contact us (e.g. name, email address, subject and content of the message); (c) learning-related data if you use interactive features (e.g. progress in modules, quiz results), where such features are available. Strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies may be used to operate the service; you can adjust your browser settings where relevant.
Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data to operate and secure the Platform, provide educational content, respond to enquiries, improve usability, and comply with legal obligations. Depending on the processing activity, legal bases may include legitimate interests, performance of a contract or of a task in the public interest, consent (where required), and legal obligation. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Retention, security, and recipients
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures. Personal data may be processed by trusted service providers (e.g. hosting, IT) acting on our instructions. If data are transferred outside the European Economic Area, we apply appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, where applicable.
Your rights and updates to this policy
Where applicable data protection law grants you rights (including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability, and lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority), you may exercise them by contacting us at the email above. We may update this policy from time to time; the current version will always appear on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
